Ria studied Arabic Language and Literature at Leiden University in the Netherlands. She worked in the Middle East. In the Netherlands she worked as a translator. In Switzerland she had a position as cultural attaché at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Berne. From 2006 she started to develop her mediumship at the Arthur Findlay College in Stansted (UK).
Hans is an architect (Technical University Delft) and he studied Business Administration at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He worked for the United Nations in Yemen and for the Dutch Ministry of Development Cooperation. Back in the Netherlands he established his architect studio. He studied organic architecture at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland.
From 2005 until 2018 Hans and Ria ran the contemplation centre House Parzival in the Bernese Oberland. Today the combination of spirituality with the normal daily life is what they strive for. Rudolf Steiner's Anthroposophy is their spiritual background.
